On this week’s show: A Bay Area bounty, with guitar pop from rhythmic (Imperial Teen) to fuzzy (Whitney’s Playland), and playful, electro-dub psych-pop (abracadabra). Boppy British pop (Amelia & The Housewives), drawly Aussie jangle (The Citradels), dark German post-punk (Retired Boxer) and French DIY pop (The Tambourines). New York City pop that swings (The Human Hearts) and croons (betty brite), and Seattle-area indie rock (the national honor society) and moody meditation (Melanie Radford). And the return of Japanese avant-pop artist Cornelius, with The Monochrome Set’s Bid on vocals.
As always, I’ve got your key to unlock more from every artist you heard…
