How Short Is It?
This brief Go-Betweens discography covers all the band's major releases (albums and singles), primarily US and UK pressings.
You will NOT find any of the following listed:

• promotional releases
• related records not recorded under the name "The Go-Betweens"
• most pressings from other countries
  • Non-US or non-UK pressings are only listed if they were not released in the US or UK (i.e. the band's first two singles) in any form, or if the foreign release is significantly different from the US/UK version(s).

Explanatory comments have also been excised for brevity. Any confusion this may cause can quickly be rectified by looking at this complete Go-Betweens discography, also at this site.

How to Read the Discography
All records and CDs are listed in approximate chronological order based on when the music on each release was recorded -- earliest musical recordings to latest. This method does not take into account the actual date the record or CD was released, but the release date is listed at the end of each entry line. For example, The Able Label Singles is placed near the beginning of the discography, even though it was released in 1986, many years after the music on it was recorded.

Each entry lists, in this order:

• Format
  • 7" / 12" / CD etc.
  A-Side or Album Title
  • The A-Side (or CD equivalent) of each single is listed in italics; album or EP titles are bolded.
  Label
  • Record label that released the single / album / EP.
  Country
  • The country in which the record was released. Abbreviations: AUS=Australia, CAN=Canada, HOLL=Holland (The Netherlands), JAP=Japan, SCOT=Scotland, US=United States, UK=England
  Catalog #
  • A unique number given to one particular record/Use the catalog number to differentiate between seemingly similar releases.
  Year
  • The year the record was released.
